Rainy Days and Mondays Never Get Me Down

It hasn't really rained down here in about three weeks (if you're not counting intermittent sprinkles), but when it rains, it pours. But I didn't mind, because that gave me an excuse to breakout my rarely worn raincoat and rainboots!



Sorry for the poor quality pics, my lens was really dirty. I'm gonna clean it tonight so the pics will be better next time.

I love rainwear, and in Charleston it's not just a fashion statement. Boots are a necessity for anyone who dares to defy the weather by wearing jeans. Unless you particularly enjoy stomping around in wet, soggy denim...yuck. Students at the college make jokes about swimming to class...except they're not really jokes. Our elevation is really low, so we're prone to flooding. Piles of water slosh into the road, holding up traffic for literally hours. Thank goodness I only use my car sparingly and can walk to my classes and work!



Closeup of the hat! I love love love the polka dot print on the raincoat. Polka dots are my favorite pattern, but I sadly don't own a lot of dotted items.
